What was your first ever car ???

I had one of these Morris Marina 1.3 coupe , plastic seats , push button radio and the most horrible burnt yellow colour (can't find a pic in the right shade. But on the plus side it was £200 quid in Mint condition and I could get most parts for it from the local scrapyard (that's where most of them lived )

Haha late driver..... I had Citroen c2 for a year then went and got the daddy car

Vauxhall Nova 2 door saloon, 1.0 ohv engine in red. Loved it so much I replaced it with another one with a 1.3 sr engine

Mini and I had another old mini cooper back about 9 years ago I love them!

cool , still think they are a girls car , but if Jenny has one then I've got an excuse to drive it , think it was a brilliant move for BMW to keep the brand and they've made a damn good job of it

I had a dark blue rover metro called William!!

My first car was a Triumph Herald, 997cc. It took me many places, when it wasn't blowing head gaskets. I much prefer modern cars!

My Dad had one when I was little , new cars are very good but the older ones have a bit more character , this was my favourite ever car I think in the old days , had mine for 2 years , 4 door in Canary Yellow , it looked awesome

Old cars definitely had more character! I often wish I had kept most of my old cars (not all), they would be worth a fortune now! But they were all rust-prone in the bodywork, not like these days thank heavens.

Most of all, characterwise, if I had to choose, apart from the VERY quirky MGB, I would have kept the Ford Corsair - straight 4 valve 1500cc engine never a problem, bench seats and column gear change - loved it.

my second was A datsun cherry turbo which the picture is both mine were black .

Yeah I understand Janey. It is VERY expensive these days just to get lessons, take and pass the driving test. Then there is buying the car, insuring it and running it, all hugely expensive.

Tbh, if you can get to your workplace easily and cheaply and would only want a car for the occasional trip further afield, then you will probably be better off financially.

1986 ford tempo

I bought a wee white 1.4 Fiesta the day I passed my test and I still have it and will keep it forever, even though it's very rarely driven anymore. In my eyes it's the best car ever made

First car was a Vauxhall Avenger Estate (so I could lie down in the back ) ... then I got into minis in a big way , had about 8 or 9 from a "1071 Cooper S", to a mental 1340 de-seemed job with a roll cage, fibreglass front, revolution wheels etc etc ... wish I still had that one now

My first car was a blue mini, which I had and past my driving test in

haha thats what my mate had as his first car that thing would get mid 50s to the gallon at the time he would use about 3 quid a week in fuel
his was the posh 950 populer with seatbelts in the back

This was my first car, so to speak. It never passed MOT and i didn't have my licence so it was a run around in the country roads to teach me how to drive..hahaha

My first car was a lime green VW Bus!

Mine was a Ford Fiesta Mk1 Xr2 but it was in a very impressive brown.

my first car was 1995 Chevy Cavalier. I didn't get my license till I was 24 years old (my choice) Got my license Aug 7 2007 and was in a car accident Aug 25 2007 (wasn't at fault) Was T-boned by a guy running a red light. Funny part is that I now live 1 block from that intersection. My first and only Car accident as a licensed insured driver lol. (I wrecked my Dad's Nova when I was teen on some country back road, that one was my fault.)

fiat Punto mk1 1.1 , i bought it from a friend for £50 because it needed an mot, after doing all the spot welding on my drive to get it through, i fitted a massive sub that made the whole thig rattle so much my rear view mirror fell off, and i wrote it off in the snow three days after passing my test, ive got photos somewhere lol!

lol yeah thats the one, good reliable car. super skinny wheels so tyre's cost next to nothing and a 0-60 time you could measure with a sundial . but as it was my first car I loved it and it never let me down

I had a Ford Fiesta called Fido, I loved him. He got stolen in Sunderland(I've never forgiven the Mackems for this). I then had Lottie, Etty and Polly all Fiestas. Love them

I loved my fiesta, I lost mine along with my licence (thats a story for the rant and rave section) however it was the bestcar I owned!! that being said i have a somewhat chequered vehicle history.

The notable one was a Pug 306 diesel (no turbo) that had a top speed of about 35 and used to get overtaken by mopeds! so me being the responsible owner i was, serviced it, cleaned it, stripped it, and found out the piston rings on No.2 were blown, and i had been running on oil, not to mention my oil filter stinking of diesel....

for those who arent mechanics, (and those who are) one day i managed to get 60mph out of it and then it went bang, however i still maintain to this day that the cloud of acrid black smoke across the dual carriageway was my escape plan and camoflage... luckily the road wasnt too busy at the time!

my current and 2nd car is a 1979 volkswagen scirocco storm
which is sort of mid restoration :p



its come a long way since that pic (taken the day i got it) but this is the most "complete" pic of it since the bumpers and front grill are off it at the moment and the car is mostly in primer.

im really not a fan of any cars made after the early 90s. most of my favourite cars are from the 70s.

to get around i share a renault clio with my mum who doesnt drive much so its at my house more than my parents haha.
i really hate the car but it does the job i guess
the scirocco should be on the road by june anyway so its all good

Looks like I was the only person to have a crap first car everyone else's was either run of the mill or cool I always wanted to be cool thats why I fitted mine with a big long twangy aerial and a go faster twin pinstripe down the side

It had 1st,2nd,3rd gear and E for economy lmao !

Loved it though ! Even made £50 on it when I sold it on and upgraded to a Fiesta XR2 <3 ahh those were the days.

These days I'm driving a Chrysler Grand Voyager gas guzzler lol
