Clock Stuck
I'm shattered today, I'm totally burnt out if I'm honest.
The only saving grace was I looked up at the clock in the office about an hour ago and it said 12:45pm, so my day was flying. At least that means I'll be home to the monster soon.
Just looked at it again just there and for some reason it's still 12:45...
Batteries are dead and the clock was stuck I've a lot longer to go than first thought.

Re: Clock Stuck
I need a holiday lol!
Can't wait until the summer so I can clear off with Logan for a few days and get my head showered.
Yea it's awful weather here too.

Re: Clock Stuck
Tbh that sounds a lot more fun to me Rebecca. Big holidays are fun for the first few days then I'd rather be at home. I'm rent a caravan at a park near the mountains and bring a few mates and Logan. I'll be more than happy with that

Re: Clock Stuck
Just move the hands of the clock so they say 5 o'clock and go home, no worries.

Re: Clock Stuck
Sorry you feel that way, Mat hope the day goes by quickly for you, then you can be home and relax . I haven't had a job at all yet, but I remember I did work experience working in stables, I might as well have been in a gym for 8 hours, and I'd be looking at the clock every 10 minutes and time was going triple-slow get rid of the clock, it's your enemy.

Re: Clock Stuck
Thanks Tara. I've cut my hours etc way, way back because I couldn't stick the pace anymore. I only work Mon-Fri 7-3 now. I used to work 7 days a week and absolutely horrendous hours and it really took it's toll on me.
I'm just kicking back now and taking life a bit easier now that I'm a bit older/wiser
Still...can't wait for the summer.

Re: Clock Stuck
Yea although there are some great kennels out there I wouldn't never put Logan in them. He is a good boy but I like to tell myself I'm the only person who can handle him
Plus what's the point getting a great dog then leaving him when the good weather comes. When the sun is out I can think about nothing other than getting away for a walk with him and spending the evening chilling out at home with the dog, a few mates and a few drinks.
Nothing will ever beat that for me personally.

Last year we had 2-3 weeks of constant unbelievably great weather here in a row and it was amazing. Logan was only a wee baby too so everyone wanted to visit him. I'd a house full of people evry night just chilling out in my garden. It was bliss.
If we get anything like that again I'll be 100% satisfied

Same here. We didn't do all of that much last summer because Loki was tiny and badly behaved I'm trying to teach him to be calm and settle down so we can walk him along the prom to this pub and have a meal while he sunbathes, can't wait to do all of that stuff

Sounds like a great day to me.
I'm very bitter that we don't have dog friendly pubs here. I'd love that tbh. I brought Logan to a coffee shop outside once and he was very well behaved. He's been into a bar once but he was teeny tiny and he used to fit down the front of my jacket and just peak out with his front feet out too. Couldn't do that now though haha!

Oh, it isn't a dog-friendly one, they just have tables outside, which is why I'm waiting until the summer weather

Re: Clock Stuck
Might be worth me doing the same then. I just tidied my garden up and bought a nice table and chairs and a big umbrella and made my own bar.
The music was much better

Re: Clock Stuck
Meet up with mother this morning and did a great walk, pub lunch and was rather giggly after 3 pints a couple of cointreau's. Laughing at the old guys at the table next to us, old bloke saying kill kill when Moo was interested in a chip under the table
Short walk to follow as her limp is still bad, now I have an appointment with the sofa

That pretty much is a perfect day to me Janey!
Pity about her limp though, I was reading in your diary that she was having it a bit bad atm

Re: Clock Stuck
Not a bad life at the weekends! Its her arthritis, or she could have pulled something, or it could be the damp weather, its very hard to judge so we just keep walks short and on the flat. Its hard tbh and not great to watch

Re: Clock Stuck
I'm sure it can be a bit upsetting. Damp/cold weather wouldn't help much either I wouldn't have thought. Short walks are the answer though as you said. The wee woman next door to my Mum has a Lab with arthritis in his hips, which I think is quite common for them, and they only ever do super short walks.

Re: Clock Stuck
I'm more in the mindset that, they can't operate so she will enjoy every walk she has till the end, imagine a staffs life stuck indoors with short walks. Rather she had fun than become a house dog, staffs are high energy, especially Moo, imagine keeping Logan to short walks! Not sure he would be to impressed!
She's a happy girl, and her life will be full of fun

Re: Clock Stuck
That's the way to look at it.
My last wee dog went blind and most people said she'd be unhappy, but she was as happy as any dog out there.
