Re: anyone found thunder jacket any good
I'm a little bit sceptical about dogs being labelled ADHD. More often than not it's down to food intolerances or lack of exercise (not aimimg that at you particularly, because I don't know what you feed your dog, or what exercise he gets!).
However, several members have tried Thundershirts & have had varying degrees of success. I don't think any of them have said that it was a waste of money, though.

No, she wasnt being serious, she was joking, but he is quite nervous on walks, massively over excited when visitors come to door, sometimes growling. i changed his food from bakers a while ago. he gets nice long walks and goes training twice a week and has hire of field at training sch once a week, just been reding about it and it has good reviews

Glad you got him off the Bakers - awful food, and could well have contributed to any hyperactivity.
What does he get now?

Sorry I dont have any personally experience of them but have heard many good things about them. Have consider one for Rocky when he is in the car on long journeys as he gets very excitable in the car. However no long journeys planned in the foreseeable future.

We used one for Tilly to calm her in the car with ok results (more a lessening effect than a 100% cure) but put it on her in the house and it just makes her want to go to sleep.

Hes on chappie complete but has nature diet meat in it too, just a little meat to make it taste nicer

Re: anyone found thunder jacket any good
Could I suggest you try a 'body wrap' to see if it would calm your dog. You need a 3" wide one for a staffie and put it round him in a figure of 8. Its much like a bandage really but it is used by professionals and costs about £8 whereas a thunder shirt cost over £30. Then if you find it works you could consider getting a thunder shirt.
The body wraps are recommended for all the same things as a thunder shirt and calms a hyper dog and gives confidence to a dog that needs reassurance.

I had a thunder shirt for Densil - he gets very stressed in the car, plus he was getting agitated seeing other dogs on his walks. Unfortunately didn't do anything for him, so sent it back for a refund.

Unfortunately, Chappie isn't all that much better than Bakers. Too many fillers and not enough meat content.

Re: anyone found thunder jacket any good
A food with more meat content may be advantagous as starchy things like cereal fillers are not good for dogs they can make them hyperactive and contribute to stressed behaviour.
