Something nice for a Friday night.

Often when we meet fellow staff owners/lovers or just general dog owners, many comment that Samson has a lovely shiny coat.

It's lovely to get a nice compliment about our furry friends Love Struck

So............
What compiments do you get about your dog from other dog lovers? Smile

Common Compliments P1020325-1

A wee pic to show how much Samson loves the compliments

Not many staffy owners around my way.. The main one is 'OMG what a lovely colour'. Although there are not many staffies, people in my town LOVE them and i cant go anywhere with out being stopped all the time.

Ledger usually gets the comments to how friendly he is/happy he looks but had a different one today at agility, the next owner had come in to set up her course and commented what great shape he was in and how defined his bum muscles looked Laughing

Common Compliments Empty Re: Common Compliments

Post by Guest Sat Mar 16 2013, 00:31

The nicest comment i ever got (in my opinion) was when she was just slightly under weight (wait for the story...)

I was on vacation and it was the first time since my two elderly dogs died, so lexi didnt have them with her. She pined a lot and when i got home she was quite skinny!

So obviously i took her to the vets. They said what i had thought, that she was physically okay but had just been stressing.

So i felt so happy that she wasn't dying, that i took her for a walk in the dog park (its a posh one, like min-mansion town) and when i was walking a little JRT came up and had a sniff of lexi and lexi a sniff of her and they were fine together (Lexi is dog agro) and the JRT owner said to me that its really nice to see a good and proper staffy for once not a fighting dog on steroids

Another compliment i got was in the same town, someone stopped me in the street and said she was a beautiful dog, what breed and i said staffordshire bull terrier and they said they had never heard of them before but she was gorgeous Smile

Samson looks lovely Smile. Loki gets complimented on having a shiny coat sometimes too, but mostly it's about his colour because he's light brindle and I haven't seen any other Staffs the same colour as him where I live. I've always had a couple of people comment on his good behaviour though (FOOLS!) Laughing

He has got a lovely coat!

Elmo gets complimented on his shiny coat a lot too and Rolo's most common compliment is probably how fit he looks although we do get a lot of fat Labrador owners implying he's skinny! Laughing

Tilly gets loads on her shiney coat , but people are mostly very selective round here and its only the fellow killer dog owners that normally pay compliments like the GSD's , Rotties and other Bully peeps, we will occasionally get compliments from the normal dog owners though and Tommy is deemed very handsome

We often get complimented on Rocky shiny coat. There is one little old lady at the park where we used to go who always made a good fuss of Rocky and thought we used polished on Rocky, bless her.

Laughing great answer Rebecca!

Unfortunately there's a lot of chavy lads round my area too and she mainly gets compliments on how big she is - I've had a few asks about where i got her from ect, if I wanted to breed which was an obvious no; plus she's been spayed Laughing my favorite compliments are from fellow staffie lovers and kids moms, when she's not being avoided she's being cuddled and loved by little kids which she adores! Their parents normally comment on her good nature and soft coat Big Grin
