First video of Chase - Treadmill Training.

Though it was about time i got a video of chase up. Bin training him for about a week now on the treadmill, his getting pretty good at it.

He still looks funny from the side, his still all out of proportion lol.

Yer his quite good on it, He hated it at first, But his gettin there. I use to have him on his lead and kinda hold him on and keep giving him treats, this video was the first time with no lead on n he did pretty good!

I thought you always had to use a lead! Like the one in the advert ages ago

Ive managed to stop having to use the lead. Still needs the temptation of treats though

Its giving him some really nice muscle definition, And he loves all the attention lol

Take care that you don't do too much too soon, though. He's still very young.

Yer he only does about 5 minutes a day, i dont wanna give him to many treats, and he only stays on their as long as the treats are coming

does anyone think his got the right proportions of a sbt? His around 7 1/2 months old, so its hard to know what he will look like fully grown, his mum was quite short and athletic in build, but his dad was quite tall and athletic/muscular.

But around here theres alot of people breeding sbt's just for the money. So even though they said his dad was his dad, thers no guarantee he was.

We had a lovely brand new treadmil in my kitchen. The pups decided they would chew the switch button off and chew up all the wires from inside. Obviously them saying "dont even think about it" When i was on they were scared so i think good walks are better and less boring.

I cant see that it would be bad for them. It cant be any different to walking outside.

Chase wasn't keen at first, but he got use to it within a week. I walk him for about an hour a day on the park anyway, so he only ever really goes on the treadmill for 3-5 minutes. Pretty much just trained him to see if i could (cant pass up a Challenger) rather than a replacement for actually walking him
