Best to contact a rescue centre locally as there will most likely be many in there.

are you a first time dog owner or have you had this breed before? sorry we can not adivse on the best place to get a puppy, there are many pups and dogs in rescues that are in need of a home in your local area.

Re: Looking a Pup in bham
If you get in touch with Battersea or RSPCA or go on their website it will come up with all their dogs. Puppies get dumped a lot if they don't get bought quixk enough etc so it is worth a look as you can get 8 week old etc pups. Otherwise ask a local rescue if they know of trusted breeders etc.

Re: Looking a Pup in bham
As has already been mentioned, there are often pups in rescue centres but if you want to buy a pup who comes from health tested parents and who's history you'll know then have a look on the KC website under the assured breeder section, it's a good place to start, as is contacting your local breed club.
As I'm sure you know (I just have to say it!) getting a pup is a HUGE responsibility and it's good to do lots of research into a) if you're ready for a pup and b) what breed is right for you then when you've been through that, you can start the search for a good breeder.
There are loads of people here willing to offer help and advice so just ask any questions you have, no matter how big or small

Re: Looking a Pup in bham
As already mentioned the rescue centers all over the UK are full to the brim with Staffys looking for new homes, I would erge you unless you have good reasons not to look at whats available in rescues.
One of many many places worth a look:
http://birminghamdogshome.org.uk/meet-our-dogs?C1=Staffordshire+Bull+Terrier&C3=Any&C2=Any&C4=Any&search=yes
Alternatively if only a new pup registered with KC and health tested ect is good enough.

I agree with Mat! Happy Staffie Rescue where I work have just collected a puppy from the pound, he hasn't been vet checked or anything yet but he'll but up on the website as soon as he's had his checks and wormer ect! He's either 10 weeks, or 10 months I can't remember 100% but apparently he's white and tan and he's going to be leggy boy! I haven't seen him personally they just told me about him when they brought back another dog It's not all that far from Birmingham city center either, about 40 minutes max? There's also puppys that have just been brought in into a rescue center in the RSPCA Frankly, but they're Staff cross Cane Corso - they're about 16 weeks old and VERY lovely natured. Good luck!
Here's the website! Keep an eye open for the pup that's going to be brought into work soon http://www.happystaffierescue.org.uk/
