Re: help
I think the first introduction should have been on lead. Some dogs never get on but if you try and separate them they may tolerate each other in time. It just takes perseverance.

I would agree, what a situation you have been left in but well done on been willing to taking her in.
I would introduce at a slow pace, on leads etc unfortunately i have never Been in this situation so could not say 100% on how to go just generally what Wendy advised
But welcome to the forum from me and tyke

Re: help
Hello and welcome from me and the kids
As said above , take a step back from the situation and start again . The crates are ok if it's for their own benefit. Some good long lead walking with a friend will help them to settle with each other but you must supervise at home.

Welcome chebber!
Tommie sounds to me as if he's a bit jealous - he has had your female BT for (presumably) all of his life, and suddenly here is an interloper in his cosy household!
You've had some good advice above which unfortunately I cannot add to as I have had no personal experience of this situation.
Hopefully, life will settle down in time.

Re: help
Hello and welcome! I agree with everyone else really! Walk them on a lead and heavily praise them both if they sniff each other ect with no problems, but make sure you correct the bad behaviors, but correct them the right way (don't frighten them) - that's all I can say sorry but well done for taking him in!

Re: help
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Any introductions between new dogs that are going to live together would normally first be done on neutral ground, however you have already gone beyond this point, so what's done is done, dont worry though. Have you tried asking for any help from a behaviourist they may be able to help you with this.
