Wally A very Bright boy
Wally is a friendly and affectionate dog who does have a few naughty habits when he gets over excited. We are currently working on his training and he is very responsive to this especially if there are treats to be had. We would advise new owners to continue with Wally¿s training. Unfortunately we were unable to find out how he acted in a home environment so new owners are advised to be at home the majority of the time initially to help Wally adjust to this. Wally can be very excitable and a little rude at times when meeting other dogs on lead. Because of this, we feel he needs to be the only dog in the household until he has been socialised further. He cannot live with cats but smaller animals in secure housing would be ok. Wally is looking for an adult only household with active and experienced new owners who can continue to work on his socialisation and training to make him the dog we know he can be. In the right home with further training Wally would be a joy to own.
My opinion : Wally pulls on the lead so needs work there, but he is a really bright affectionate boy. With clicker training he learns really quick. In his kennel he is quiet, doesn't bark, sits in his bed or by the door waiting for someone to see him.

Re: Wally A very Bright boy
Wally is still with us at RSPCA South Godstone, it has been a year now. MAD! as he is a great dog if you like fun times and cuddles. He is now in the 'special' appeals on the RSPCA offial site.
http://blogs.rspca.org.uk/specialappeals/2013/05/24/wheres-wally/
He has coped very well with kennel life and a firm favourite with all the staff and volunteers.
He is now beginning to get a bit stressed and really needs a home. he has taken to over grooming himself to comfort himself, and is getting sore.
won't someone see what a great pal he would be?

Re: Wally A very Bright boy
The special appeal on the RSPCA web site might have worked? there has been some interest in Wally. A couple are coming to see him on Monday. He is a friendly lovable dog, so we all at the center are optimistic. Wish Wally luck
Re Homed
After over a year at the re homing center at RSPCA South Godstone, Wally was successfully re homed after we ran an all out campaign on FaceBook, called "Where's Wally?".
I'm not sure FaceBook links are allowed, but this is a bit of fun you may enjoy looking through. We took photo's of Wally hiding, and the popularity of this was awesome, and directly linked him to getting a new a home.
(sorry link removed)
He has settled in beautifully; and is a new dog, well loved, good fun AND gets on with other dogs in the park!
Can I get a "HELL YEAH" for a very happy ending!!
Before we launched this campaign, no one had EVER even looked at Wally.
Everyone at RSPCA South Godstone is so delighted.
