Re: Great youtube training videos :)
What, besides jumping onto the kitchen counter for food, jumping up at people and not listening to anything unless there's food? . Nah, we've only just started it, so far I've been using it just for the behavior to try to get him to stop being such a maniac. He knows a good few tricks though, 'play dead' is my favourite.

Is that one easy to teach Tara?

Kind of. He doesn't know how to roll over yet, so I tried it one way and it was impossible. Then I tried it a different way and he picked it up very quickly. I got him to lie down, held a treat to his nose and kind of moved it until he'd roll onto his side, then give him a treat. Took ages at first, so I kept doing that until he knew to roll onto his side, then I started adding the word/hand signal, and he picked it up

Re: Great youtube training videos :)
I agree with what Tara said! I personally haven't clicker trained my girl but as long as they know basics it's usually pretty easy to teach them other tricks step by step using their basic skills! like she said, tell them to down, give a treat, make them stay, give a treat, hold the treat to the floor and try should flop down, reward them for doing that an associate a word with that behavior! I started off with dead for her to hit the floor and as she knew dead was to drop and she knew it well I changed the word to "bang" and hold my hand into a gun and she flops and she learnt it pretty quick! It looks good but really it's not that hard - just destroys your treat stores
