My Mum is nearly as socially awkward as me (obviously inherited) she'd drop dead if she had to go for a meal out.

My Dad has bought her a bunch of things already. I'll head into Belfast tomorrow and do my usual thing when it comes to shopping, find a girl that works there and ask them to pick something for me Laughing

I got a kindle fire HD whats it ma jig for the wife off the kids, which she found 2 weeks ago. Sent the mother a card and cash and the ex a card off my daughter and she will get it on time, unlike the 13 attempts she has tried to get a fathers day card on time and failed for me. Think 2 weeks after is the closest to date. Must have a shop that sells them off cheap after a week Laughing

We don't really do these kind of things. I will get her a card and maybe some flowers but its not that big of a deal with us. Mum hates all the soft toys and crap like that and anything shed actually want would be like £800 so thats out lol

She likes my poached eggs so i always make her them in the morning

At least you still send a card , my OH and her son have not been talking since before xmas (his choice not ours) so mum doesn't want to have mothers day this year , though I did pick up a couple of cards tonight from Jenny and the furkids

My Mum loved her Victoria sponge cake which we took round for her today. I got to see all my brothers today too, they were all round to see her it was great to see them all at once for a change. I dont usually get to see them all on the same day.
