Driving me insane!
Ok I apologise in advance for the rant but its reaaaaaaaaaaaaally annoying me!!!
Anyway, as some of you know the situation I went through with my housemate over Alfie a few weeks back...... Since then I have taken FULL responsibility over Alfie, I no longer let her walk him, feed him or anything. Purely just so she cant have anything to complain about over him. So yeah, I do it all myself - which I dont mind because Id do anything for him.
She stays out quite a bit so its a good job I dont mind doing everything really! But anyway, when she is there, all she seems to do is get annoyed with Alfie! Getting under her feet or climbing all over her. Yeah I admit it can be annoying when youre trying to do something and Alfie is getting in the way lol but thats what dogs do! And as for the climbing all over her, hes just excited to see her! This morning for example, I was upstairs and she had just got up - Alfie was obviously happy to see her and got a bit overexcited and started barking and running around the house. She called up to me to help her! I mean COME ON!
This isnt just me right? Does it seem unfair to just get annoyed with him all the time? She doesnt see him when hes calm and all cuddly and lovely, and how funny he is at the park when we go for walkies. I have also had no thanks for all the hard work Ive put in with him, not to mention all the money Ive spent. Would be nice to be appreciated and have some thanks! Its her ive done it for as well

Living with people is a nightmare. I used to live with my girlfriend but I politely asked her to leave one day
Some people really aren't dog people and it can be very frustrating.

Its even more annoying though Mat because she wanted him just as much as I did and she was just as excited as me when we got him.

Re: Driving me insane!
As far as I remember she even joined the forum first and was asking for help.
It boils down to people getting dogs and when they realise it's a lot of work they throw their toys out of the pram and give up.
You did a good job taking on the responsibility. It's very worth it though

Yeah she did! I dont understand though because shes always had dogs so she should have known what it involved. My mum made a good point yesterday when she came round, she said to me that she doesnt love him as much as I do - which is probably true because Im with him all the time

Only way that will work Kylie is if he is neutered first...and I don't mean Ramsey!

But in this case it might sort out some behaviour issues!

Re: Driving me insane!
It isn't just you, my dad hates Loki . Nah, not really...he says he does, but he's bonded with Loki more than our previous dog, Zac. He tolerated Zac and he'd play with him, but he wasn't a fan. With Loki, he gets very annoyed with his jumping up, biting, whining...basically anything. But he loves him . It's a shame because she did want Alfie too, as you said, but what it comes down to is that you knew what to expect more than she did, or you were willing to learn and accept any potential issues and go from there.

Yes but we wouldn't be married, so if I left I couldn't demand joint custody of Ramsay
