Home expiriment
Hi All,
Today we tried a little home expiriment. Well it was more like a continuation of last nights expiriment. Last night we went out for 2 hours, we decided to see how she would manage outside her crate in our hallway, so we gated the hallway in our bedroom as its tiled. We gave her all of her toys and her bed and water. She was excellent, didnt destroy anything, just played herself to sleep. So today i said lets try it again, since i go home evry day for lunch to walk her, she was in for 3.5 to 4 hours. This time she nibbled at the drywall corner.
Is there anythign i can do to not get her nibbling and grinding away at it? should i just try again in a couple of weeks when she is not teething? i put bitter apples in that exact spot last night knowing that she had nibbled there when we first got her one day.
Other than todays nibble, still going strong with minimal accidents, just some excitement pee when my mom insists on making a fuss over her. she is doing well with her classes, we have 2 more to go. my wife has taking a liking to getting her to do commands which is a great thing. we are just enjoying our blue canon ball so much lol.

Re: Home expiriment
Really pleased all is going well. If I where you I would keep the crate closed just until teething is over, then try her again, I take it she still has the crate in the space with the door left open? Xx

Janey, i didnt even think to move her crate there. she is not keen on the crate and i have yet to see her go in there on her own free will anyway. i wish she would go in there on her own.

Try putting some treats and toys in the crate for her so she knows it is somewhere pleasant to go. Does she have some blankets and/or a bed in there, make it as comfy as you can. Once you have managed to tempt her in give lots of praise and another treat.

thanks kathy, we have a bed, fleece blanket, teddy bear and 2 toys in there. we just started giving her a treat and a "good girl" a few days ago. funny thing is, in the morning she doesnt even want to come out lol, but i think its because she is just waking up.
Re: Home expiriment
well dome on the progress but i would agree untill she has finished teething as when she gets a little stronger and grows so she wnt be needing as much sleep her toys will become boring but your skirts, doors and carpets become the next best thing lol
