Moo couldn't have chicken, I had her health tested for everything as a pup, she would have really bad diarrhea, put her on a fish based food and it sorted it out perfect.

I hope you find a solution and hiya from us Smile

Hi there.

Chicken is quite a common intolerance, despite being used for invalids; my boy can't touch even a little bit! Wheat (and other cereals) is also a common intolerance. You could try a fish based food, fish4dogs, fishmongers, james wellbeloved fish & potato (I think).

If all else fails you could think about a switch to raw feeding? If you need to know more about that (it isn't just about giving raw meat!), just ask & we'll help.

I had a done a few years back, she kept being sick and had terrible diarrhoea. The vets thought she was food intolerant for something. Anyway nothing worked so she ended up having a scan and a poo sample. It may be worth sending off a sample to see if it shows up anything. I was pulling my hair out with Ruby, tried just any everything. Turned out the poor little lamb had cancer of the liver. She was only 5years old.

Poor little Ruby, RIP sweetie.

99 times out of a hundred loose poos or too many poos are caused by food or food intolerances. There are other, more sinister reasons, but they are rare & it's always worth trying a different food (introduced slowly) before worrying over anything else.

I never had Logan tested for food intolerances but he won't touch chicken and has been sick from it in the past so I avoid it totally.

I feed James Wellbeloved Ocean White Fish and Rice, and then the Duck & Vegetables (grain free). Seems to work a treat Big Grin

thanks hes on HA Hypo-allergenic now since yest introducing it, he has never had runny poo or anything which is why the vet thought hed swallowed something so i think if it carries on further tests may be done just trying to eliminate and hopefully prevent unecesary surgery, but thank you all for your help
