Day Two
Ok so after a nice day yesterday of no mess or destruction we're on to day two.
Again sat at my desk at work trying to work and all I can think about is "I hope he's been a good boy when I get home". Hate this dread feeling. Going to take a while for it to subside I think though - if he continues to be good.
So he went for a good walk this morning. Then a lot of fussing and playing. Then feeding and straight into his crate waiting for his treats. Gave him his kong with biscuits in it and left him ruffling this around his crate trying to get his biscuits out.
Really hope for another problem free day x

Re: Day Two
Oh I really hope so.
My fella's just nipped home as he was working close by and said he's been a good boy this morning. So lots of fuss was given and he was taken for another quick walk around the block. Going home at lunch as usual to nip him over the field for a game of "chase the basketball" lol
Feel a little more relaxed ALTHOUGH I do think I shouldn't because I don't wanna build myseld up for a fall lol xx

I'm sure Knox will have been a very good boy, try not to worry about things that may never happen.

Yeah the tv is on on the radio channel for him - have always left him some noise as *company*.
The other half has just gone home to sort out some paperwork for his job and he didn't even move out of his crate just lay there and wagged his tail lol

Re: Day Two
Well we're into day three. We left him for a couple of hours last nite and he was so tuckered out from all the walking that he never moved from his crate - not even when we came home. Just lay in it wagging his tail haha
He's still not locked in the crate but even if we don't lock him in it we're gonna keep it cos he absolutely loves being in there
Fingers crossed for day three

Re: Day Two
Good luck again!
I find there is no real need to lock the door of the crate anyway. Especially if he chooses to be there

Re: Day Two
Thanks just want it to continue lol I'd hate to have to lock him in the crate BUT as he seems to really like it in there it would make it easier on me to do it and not feel so guilty if it ever needed it! x

I think you are on the home clear. He obviously doesn't mind being left at all

Re: Day Two
I'm starting to think that perhaps something spooked him and that's what causes the bad behavior. I'm still not letting my guard down lol

There will always be mistakes though, even the most reliable dogs can have their moments. Just like people haha

Re: Day Two
Brilliant news that everything seems to be going in the right direction, try not to get to worked up if mistakes are made, see them as an opportunity to correct behavior instead of souly a bad thing.

Re: Day Two
Day four and I feel awful!!
Usual routine this morning, walked, fed, played with, lots of fuss. "see ya later pudding back at lunch" out we go.
Get home lunchtime and I can hear him crying by the front door. I'm thinking oh God what's happened. I open the door he shoots out and starts jumping around like the lunatic he is. I go upstairs fearing the worst! only to find that I'm a massive dumbass and have shut our bedroom door behind me as we've left this morning so my baby had no where comfy to lie expect the landing at the top of the stairs BAD MUMMY!!!!!
That's being said he was still a very good boy and no mess or chewing
Poor baby
