Staffy Damage!!!
Just wondering what injuries people have sustained as a result of owning a Staffy(or Dempsey).
For instance, last night i was playing with Logan blowing in his face when he decided i'd annoyed him enough....so he headbutted me. Right on the bridge of my nose. It made eyes water and now i have a little purple(ish) bruise on my nose!!! and its really sore!!!! (i know it was my own fault!!)

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
I've been headbutted a couple of times, Leaim's brother has been bitten on the nose, well more scratched, but with teeth. Molly almost broke my finger, I have a scar from her mistaking my finger as a stick, and Leaim has half a nail lifted up, as well as another black nail, for the same reason.

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
Dempsey's a b***er for head butting. So far I've had several fat lips, a couple of black eyes & loads of bruises!
I also tried to dig a chew out from the back of his throat just as he decided to clamp down on it - he went right through my finger to the bone! Um, it hurt a little bit.

Been there, done that! Bandit was an expert at hitting you just in the right place at the back of your knees & smack, straight down you'd go!

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
Ooh where do I start, theyve all been accidental but...
* long bruises where they jump up and scratch my legs when I come home from work or play.
* bitten and broken fingers when Ive wrestled other horrible dogs off of my babies.
* brusied face from being headbutted.
* torn tricep muscle from trying to hold tali.
lets put it this way ive plenty of scars to remember them for

I was playing fetch yesterday with Blue and I did that thing were you pretend to throw it and as they shoot of to get the stick you turn 180 degrees and throw it the other way.
Only thing was I gave him a good chance to have a run up and when I threw the stick. The back of my legs was right in line between point A (Blue) and point B (The stick). Must have been funny to watch cos he just took me clean off my feet.

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
When Jethro was young and his prime he ran flat out at my hubby Tony but he forgot to veer off and ran straight into him..wow..did Tony go flying !! Have cracked heads a few times when playing with Jethro.. yes it hurts alot..don't think Jethro felt it though!! Regarding finding the tenner.. one night we were out camping in the bush and went for a walk along a dirt road...Tony realized he had dropped the car keys when we turned round to go back. We only had a little pathetic torch but Jethro ran ahead as he does and he ran off to sniff something in the dark.. it was our keys !! Good boy !!!

Neadless to say I nearly peed myself lol Ty then darted straight in to the couch to stop himself the couch tipped up an ty just looked at my mum as if to say what you doin down there soft lady fix the couch. I was very amused by this lol.

i was sewing up Bruno's dog (soft toy) yesterday and he wanted, he tried to grab it off me but got my finger instead, and i won't say what i called him
Makes mental note not to have my face/head near Bruno incase he decided to head butt me, but my guess he'll do it when i not expecting it

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
Most often are the head butts that I could loose a tooth with and the fat lips but last night Emmy rolled of the couch (wasn't quite awake yet) back first and landed on her dad's leg hard then bounced into the coffee table and broke the bottom shelf.

Re: Staffy Damage!!!
Ohhh the headbutts! Yep a few bruised noses and a lump on the head!
You also have to get out the way when Lily has her mad 5 mins run around or you'll get bowled over with enthusiasm! And when she wants you to play tug with a raggy type toy (those ropey knot things) she does that CUTE play growling and then shakes it like MAD back n fore to encourage you (:S) you have to make sure NO part of your body is near or you'll get whipped with the toy!! BLOODy hell that hurts!
