Electric Soup Makers
Anybody tried them?
Just bought one & I've got to say it was absolutely brilliant! Takes all the hard work out - all you have to do is peel & cut up the veg (add meat if you want), throw it in the machine with a bit of stock & turn it on! The hardest bit is working out if you want a smooth soup or a chunky soup!

Re: Electric Soup Makers
I dithered about it for ages, but got one last week.
I threw some diced potatoes & a sliced leek in the jug, added just over a litre of cold veg stock & turned it on. Half an hour later I had totally smooth, very tasty leek & potato soup.

My dad has one and loves it, but sadly he has had to return 2 as they have broken after about 10 uses.

They are a great idea, we have a Bosch one. The good thing is that you can choose how you have your soup by blitzing half of it if you want and adjusting the thickness by how much you blitz.

Re: Electric Soup Makers
I've had one for over a year, really helpful because I'm a vegetarian so always have lots of leftover vegetables and the like knocking about. Throw them into soup maker, salt, olive oil, stock... 15 minutes and have got a huge bowl of soup. So glad with it I bought and sent one to my mom!
