Changeing name
Hi All
We were just wondering would a 27 month old learn a new name? or would it be better to keep her name as it is?
thanks

Re: Changeing name
The dog would most likely learn it in time. If you imagine some rescue dogs get new names after years of being unwanted. My last dog was 4 before I got her.
If I'd named a dog I would never want to change it though personally.

Re: Changeing name
It'll be no problem then
Just repeat her name a lot and say it every chance you get.

Re: Changeing name
Yeah. Our old Boxer was a rescue, he was one, two or three years old when we got him (no-one seemed to know); his previous name was Butch but we re-named him Zac. Just constantly say the new name and make a big fuss of her

Re: Changeing name
I call lexi something new every time i see her, dogs understand some words for commands but a name is just another command for "come here" so it doesnt really matter what it is as long as the dog know what the command is.
