A Few Pics From Today At the Farm

Some of you might know I work with farmers in N. Ireland and try and sell their potato crops for them. I was excited today because I got to go to my favourite farm. The farmer has a great little JRT which is one of the fittest dogs I've ever seen, he is built like a little Stafford he is so muscular.

I arrived to see the JRT run out in his usual excited watch dog manor and was surprised to see a little Border Collie run after. She was approx 4 months old. She was a great wee thing who spent the whole visit torturing the poor JRT and running off with potatoes when she could get her paws on them.

I took a few pics on my phone, I know they aren't Staffords but we love all dogs here don't we?







Even though it's a bit dirty from the rain I am so jealous that they get to live such a full life. Chasing away vermin, endless fields to run in, working with sheep, and fresh food always.

I often think about buying a house with lots of land so I could have a few dogs and they could play all day ( if i win the lottery maybe)

Yeh we all I think dream of endless fields and open space a staffys heaven, mine too!! It does my soul good !!

I grew up with Border Collie as my best friend from 4yrs to 20 yrs

awwww i love border collies, and i am very jealous that you get to do this for a living!! i use to have horses and we stabled on a working farm, and my collie cross was always in her element!!

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately I'm just a visitor on the farms, I'm very jealous of their lifestyle. Laid back, healthy, outside all day, being your own boss, loadsa animals...pretty much heaven to me.

hi mat i love jrt ive have had quite a few growing up as a lad,just like staffies fearless and strong and faithful.i see your from portadown,i worked there a few years ago refitting the mothercare in the shopping center,i get to north and southern ireland quit alot,great pics anyway cheers
