WIND!!!!
Hey all, apologies if it has been asked before but I need your help and advice. our dog blue is 5 months now and suffers really badly with wind!!!! so much so that you cant stay i the same room as him and worse of all its constant!
He is on wainrights food (salmon and something) but was like this on his previous food too!
any ideas? if not then I am investing him into the WIND farm industry (phew!! haha)

Re: WIND!!!!
I think you will find its a bit of a staffy trait, well it is with Maggie I have never known a dog to fart as much as what she does and they stink and another thing her farts arent quiet, my parents lab does the typical silent fart which Maggie does as well but most of the time she farts loudly usually right next to someone and then looks at said person with a face saying your digusting
I've been giving Maggie charcoal biscuits which I got from PaH they have cut the farts down no end but not completely stopped it. They do settle her tummy though so we arent gassed out as much

Re: WIND!!!!
Moo isn't a farter, but a lot do! I really do think it improves with age. Her love puffs where more noticeable at a young age, she could clear a bar, and now it is very rare Xx

Re: WIND!!!!
Bacchus does frequent bum burps but I find they are not as smelly now as when he was tiny and am hoping the trend continues.
When he is on the sofa with me I don't find them too bad now and the smell doesn't seem to drift over to the OH whereas it used to fill the room. So we don't tell her what we've done and she is blissfully unaware..........well, most of the time > >

Re: WIND!!!!
It could also be to do with Wainwrights, when Zeus was on Wainwrights and other foods such as Wafcol, he farted like crazy.
I moved him onto Orijen and he doesn't do it as much, only around the time when he needs a poo or gets excited.

Re: WIND!!!!
I know that Brutus nearly had me throwing up once. The smell was horrific, and the funny part was he laid there with his paws over his nose. He eased off a lot once we moved him on to a raw diet. We only get one dust crop moment a week now, if that.

Not at all. It's a well known fact that people who live in our suburb are too posh to pump. It's just that when he does anything naughty he's my dog, so we both get the blame. So we stick together eg. when mum's not in he gets to chew his stag bar on the best rug in front of the fire etc. :-$ :-$
