Using snow to test out my new camera :)
Since my previous camera fell into the eight-feet-deep pond in the poultry enclosure, I finally ordered a new one. We've suddenly had quite a lot of snowfall today, so I took the opportunity to test it!
This was before I could be bothered to step outside, so it was shot through a window.
Probably not a good idea to sit on it...
Shutter speed of the camera isn't fast enough to see the snowflakes, but there was a lot of it.
Little blackbird waiting for me to leave, so that he can hop back onto the table to eat the food that was put out for him.
Can't really see it here, but all the snow is building up on our ivy archway.
Our little ol' birdtable.
Lazy me taking pictures from the window.
It was too cold to go back outside.
I'll hopefully take some pics of Dempsey later, but he's curled up by the fire at the moment, so... Let sleeping dogs lie.

I don't know if I'll be taking this one down to the animal unit! The last one's still at the bottom of the pond. Maybe towards the end of my course - I only have a few weeks left.

There's nothing wrong with taking photo's through windows, just a little hint: hold the camera at a slight angle to the glass this will avoid getting any glare/reflection on your shot.
If you have a sport setting on the camera try using this to capture fast action shots, or to capture the snow falling try using a beach setting.

On my other camera, I'd know how to do it. I thought this camera was the same as my old one, but sadly it isn't. It's confusing!

I tried the angle against the window. It helped! Thanks!
