Given a bad name!

I cant bear it when you tell someone that you have a Staff and their response is "arent they dangerous?" or something even worse! The ones I have come across are the softest dogs ever! Why do people judge when they have never met one?! Its not fair for them to have such a bad reputation

But yes its one of the big battles that we are fighting and aint going any were anytime soon, so as i see it its our job to make people aware and if its only one at a time, its one less person that is anti-staffy!!

I found it on the internet somewhere and I thought it just sums them up completely!! I got it from my family when I first told them but as soon as they met Alfie they fell in love with him instantly! We can change the world

we had the same with the family, didnt help that i was pregnant aswell ................one day lets hope

It's such a shame that more people don't know the true nature of the breed... I agree , if we keep plugging away then maybe we can change that .. Fingers crossed !

She knitted me dinosaurs and cavemen as a child lol, I never had a playstation growing up

I still go with the fact its there loss, staffies are amazing, and I'm not biased at all

We go to a lot of Vw shows and a lot of people there have Staffs, we take Millie who is not the most dog friendly Staff on a lead but we have never had anyone say that down here, the only reaction we had was a mum drag her child away as we walked towards them just as this other mum with even smaller children came up and started making a fuss of her. People listen far too much to media and dont bother to find out the facts for themselves. I grew up with Alsations when they were the worst dog you could have, we never had a problem unless you count the 6ft odd Kiwi who was pinned up against the wall by Kim who was licking his face shouting "get this dog off me". My son had a Rottweiler who are also really bad supposedly but he was the sofest thing I ever had the pleasure to meet, as soon as the kids came into the room his eyes changed and he did the bum waggle and licked them to death, People will always listen to the media cos they alway tell the truth and not take the time to find out for themselves. Staffs rule I will never ever have any other breed of dog as we all know its the owners not the breed.

In all fairness i didnt know what to expect with a Staff because id never had one but I kept an open mind and im so glad i did!! Alfie wouldnt hurt a fly, the only time i hear him bark is in his sleep haha

Its ok, because these people are only giving themselves bad names too.

ignorant, thick, uneducated, annoying to name a few while keeping it clean..

The good thing is, staffies across the world are daily proving the mis conception wrong.

I used to believe bread crusts gave you curly hair and took a long time until I ate them (21 actually and yeah that was last year lol)

although saying that my luscious (i wish) locks are going a bit curly at the ends haha

You're lucky. Logan is friendly and gentle but he does love a good bark lol.

Had a fab walk today. A man came over with his dog to tell me what a wonderful example of a staffy she was, saying he doesn't like the way some breed for macho and very bulky staffs. We were chuffed so nice to meet someone that appreciates the breed. We are slowly making our community aware of how lovely they are. Families with children avoided us with Moll initially but now they walk over to greet her!
