lol you dont have a pit bull.. people think when they see a tall staff that its a pitbull... yours is a cross breed so its probably staff crossed with a taller breed.. No one really has a pitbull in england anyway..

Did you not check what the parents were????!

I highly doubt he has any pit bull in him.. I highly doubt there is more than a handful of pit bulls in the UK.. There may be some "types" but they are just crossbreeds of other breeds.. He looks like a staffy cross, with what I'm unsure..

He's a lovely pup!

If you don't know his breeding (where did you get him from?) he might not be a full Staff but a Staff cross. But if you love him for what he is, that's the main thing.

Whatever his breeding, he is VERY unlikely to have Pit Bull in him - Pits are not allowed in the UK and if, and only IF, he was 1/2 Pit then his breeder would have bragged about it and charged a fortune for him (and even then was probably lieing!)

Enjoy your pup, forget about the Pit thing ("everyone" are not necessarily right and are probably wrong).

Keep in touch if you have any concerns with his health, behaviour etc. We're always here.

Definitely not, you can tell by looking at him that he's a star, people tend to say that a lot but I have no idea why, I know 2 pits where I live and you can tell the difference.

But I noticed his pits are always muzzled so I don't see his face well.

Sorry Shaz but I highly doubt you have 2 Pit Bull Terriers living where you live.. I doubt there would be 2 real Pit bulls in the whole UK.. There may be 2 pit bull "types" that live near you, that would need to comply with a lot of conditions, muzzling, high secure fencing, neutering etc. but they are all just cross breeds of other breeds, not pits.

As has been said, there are hardly any real pitbulls in the UK, the ones people brag about being pitbulls are just two breeds crossed to look like pitbulls to the average person. You have a Staff or Staff x, NOT a pitbull. People are idiots, they think any dog that looks like a Staff but a bit bigger is automatically a pitbull.

He lives in a high rise and it's his second one, it's proberly pit bull type then, the dogs soppy as hell but he's muzzled, he looks like a pit to me anyway.

Any way how old is your dog? 6 months or so? archie went through stages when growing up that he looked like all sorts! Give it another year and you will see more how it will turn out.

I dont think he looks anything like a pit, I think he's probably at least 75 - 80% stafford with maybe another breed a little back in his anscestory. Its ridiculous that people think just because his ears are pricked he is a pit, and thats only because they are used to seeing pits with their ears hacked off in America! I would say to people he has part collie or something in him so they stop saying hes a pit. Just tell them his grandmother was a collie or something xx

Seriously, there are lots of pitbull types in the UK, dogs that are crossed to look like pitbulls (on purpose or not), but there are hardly any real ones. I mean, pitbulls are APBTs anyway; unless that person has an APBT imported from a place where they're legal and can be registered, and you have the papers for them, you'll never know whether or not they are 'full pitbull,' and it's pretty much 99% guarantee that it's just a couple of crosses that happen to look like a pitbull to the amateur.

He looks exactley like tyke did at that age, my tyke is a x with something but could be one of a hundred. But on from what every one else has mentioned theres types in the UK but not pure breeds. I had to put my sister straight the other day as her next door but one has a 'pitbull' as she has a red nose!

Do not worry, if people ask what he is crossed with i wouldnt recommend saying i dont know what he is crossed with but some say a pitbull, that could cause you a lot of heart ache and marley un wanted attention

He's more than likely to be a Staffy cross, most people wouldn't know a pit bull if it bit them on the backside, dont worry about it.
