Re: bella............
Build up the time slowly and make the crate a place she likes to go into and never use it as punishment. Have you tried bitter apple spray or vicks on the things you don't want chewed? Also have you tried tiring her out before she is left?

Re: bella............
I think a crate is better than constantly being cross with them for damage .
I wouldn't leave them in it for more than a few hrs and maybe after exercise so they are likely to sleep anyway.
You could make it really comfy and start by feeding her in it and stroking her whilst she is in it. Then leave her for a small amount of time at first locked in and then build up the time.
Put some toys in and something to chew and get one that has enough room.
Good luck

Re: bella............
How much exercise is she getting, and does she have a Kong or a StagBar? If she's getting enough exercise and she's got things to keep her occupied and she's chewing anyway, then yeah, crate is a good way to go, saves her chewing your house to pieces . Make it comfortable for her, and let her go in it on her own (put a couple of treats inside if you need to), and let her just check it out, get used to it. Don't shut the door on her until she's used to it, then only close it for a small amount at first, then gradually build it up.
