If the Staffy didn't exist

In the horrible event of a world without the staffy , What would be your second choice of breed ?

I would go for a greyhound , i think they are very sweet and often get overlooked.

The hubby would probably go for a boxer or an Irish setter.


So how about you?

I would always go for a rescue dog, so which ever one the centre could match us up with, in the greatest need of a new home, is which one I would go for.

I wouldn't pick a grey hound as marley got attacked by one when he was a pup! i think i would have a pit bull or a husky

I would go for british bull dog or a border collie!

For a long time i wasnted an ACD (blue heeler) i thought they wheer amazing dogs. we had one and she was a real doll, a real sookie girl, but that is not typical of the breed.
Now days i lean towards Ambulls and dogo argentino

Pit Bull either Blue or Red nose

prob be another Border Collie , only because I grew up with them and OH wouldn't let me have a GSD or a Rottie as they are too big for her , spoilsport

God there are so many! but have to be a mini sausage dog, or the petite bassett griffon vendeen

I've always loved greyhounds myself, I think they'd suit my lifestyle a lot. But the past few days I've met a few really lovely boxers with great personalities.

I had a Patterdale Terrier and she was an awesome dog. Hard as nails.

If pushed I'd find it difficult to find a breed I wouldn't like lol.

I have always wanted an old english sheepdog since I was a kid and one lived in my street.

Beagle or border collie were my other suggestions when we were deciding on a puppy.

I think I would stick to bull terriers anyway just love them so any of them could be the one but we have Bruno and just cant imagine hes not here especially when he lays just like right now on the second couch and snorkeling like a small pig priceless

No staffs and no staff crosses would take away all my fav dogs. If pressed it would be a husky or mal now im used to walking bloody miles knee deep in mud. Also would love a french bull terrier or an ebt, poss more an ebt as i love there nature and looks.

No way, they are quite possibly in my top 5 of hated dogs. They stink and are far too friendly esp when they are stinking lol

Some good breeds on there . I think I could learn to love any breed apart from those hairless ones , lol bless em !

I had always wanted a chocolate lab otherwise it would have to be a proper dog sized dog (none of the pocket dogs) if from a pup would like a Rotty but if from a rescue I would be concerned about the size not knowing the training history

Boxer, had two Boxers before. Or Presa Canario or Great Dane or...well, there's a very long list, I'll stop there

boxer for me but my OH would have EVERY dog going !!!

We had Rotties for over 30 years so it has to be a Rottie not the modern kind with long muzzles and gangly legs but a close coupled stocky strong dog, coming a close second would be the Deerhound, but again not the gangly things with little bone that are being bred now.

I already want a zoo of dogs;

pitbull, husky, rottweiler, german shep, pug, boston....

Until I discovered Staffys I always said I'd have a Jack Russell so I'd probably go back to that!

If pit bulls were aloud I'd go for them if not a boxer or a Labrador
