Just remembered lol

The question about the flag on Dickensons Real Deal about who is the patron saint of England reminded me of a fight my mum got into on a coach one time. I think we were in somewhere random like Yemen


The tour guide was talking about flags and was asking about the Union flag and some lady from Wales said that it was comprised of all of the UK e.g. England (red cross) , Scotland (blue cross) and NI. My mum said you mean Wales (white cross) and the little Welsh lady said "no, the white cross is the cross of st. Patrick i know this im Welsh." To which my mum replied, "well no actually it is the cross of st. david who is Welsh i think you'll find. NI is not featured on the Union Flag"



The little lady turned around in a grump and told mum to stop smoking it is a non-smoking bus. (my mum doesn't smoke)

Yep your Ma was right. Made me laugh about St Patrick being Welsh! What were you doing in the Yemen?
