PETULA - Female SBT cross

A couple of weeks ago I posted details of Petula, a SBT cross who is in a pound. We almost got her a rescue space but unfortunately it fell through.

I have just found out that Petula is really struggling in kennels now, and difficult decisions will have to be made. This is a last attempt to appeal to rescues out there, or anyone who may be able to offer Petula a lifeline. I've become very fond of this girl, she has made such good progress. She passed her cat test, she is learning to walk well on the lead using a headcollar and has such great potential.

But I fear time may be about to run out. Can anyone help?

Poor Petula. There doesn't seem to be a rescue space anywhere in the UK for her, even though she has been spayed and chipped and she is such a nice girl. It is a real shame.

Petula will be pts on Friday unless we can find a rescue space/foster/home.

Petula has been offered a foster space by a lovely lovely girl called Emmaline. If you know of anyone who might want to take her on permanently please get in touch with FOSS (I can pass any info on if you like).

So happy to hear this earlier today I'd emailed a couple of rescue centres to see if they could help out or ask around, but they were all full. Hope she finds a permanent home soon

There are a lot of relieved people today. The vet was booked for Friday, and every rescue is full. The local ones are not interested and the more distant ones only take local dogs. Petula still urgently needs a forever home, but she is off the pts list.
