suspected osteochondrosis.
First vet bill for Mia today £56. She`s only 7 months and has developed a limp left foreleg the last few days. Any other owners come acroos this. Looked it up on the internet and was relating it to genetics or nutrition. Any advice would be grately appreciated.

I have had experience in this as my previous dog (Rottie) had it at the same age as yours ... He started with a limp but after having xrays done he was diagnosed with OCD which meant he had an op to remove a piece of floating bone from his elbow.. The op was successful and his limp slowly dissappeared but we were warned because he was a big breed of dog that sadly he will probably suffer with Arthritis when he gets to around 5 yrs old and they were spot on as he started to have trouble with the same leg as he neared 5 yrs old ... But after taking a joint supplement he stopped having trouble with that perticular leg..
Don't know if this has helped you with anything but its really not a massive bad thing as my big Rottie was alot better after having his op.. Good luck with Mia and let me know what happens if you don't mind ..

Re: suspected osteochondrosis.
Never self diagnose, could be one of many things. Have you tried resting for a week easier said than done with a 7 month old but it could just be soft tissue damage. Failing that then see what happens after an x-ray.
Maybe you could come and introduce yourself

suspected osteochondrosis.
Thanks for your replies Hollymolly and Janey. Will have to wait and see how she gets on. Seems to be worse when the dog has been lying for a while, then she looks stiff when she gets up. Hopefully clear up with the painkiller and tablets we got off the vet. Bit gutted to be honest after paying so much money to get her off a breeder. Wont change how much we love her tho.
