Trickster
I decided to trick Taz today on our walk home, he was knackered after going for a run and wearing his rucksack, anyways on the way home i threw his lead over his ruck sack so it didn't drag on the floor and he walked all the way home right by my side and even walked past two springer spaniels without a problem.
I wanted to test him because when ever he hears the click of the clasp on the lead he knows he is off lead but this time he didn't he thought i still had control and that he should behave but i didn't. It was a nice walk relaxing walk home.

Re: Trickster
Nice one
That great news. Love it when they walk by your side. It makes the walk so much more pleasurable. Even better on a summers day

Re: Trickster
I think the fact the he was knackered helped alot we walked/jogged 7 miles today just me and him 3 1/2 miles down and back from the cemetery with his rucksack Cassie has never been able to go all the way but Taz really surprised me, he had his usual run in the allotments as well now he is crashed on the settee I plan on doing it alot more often than once a week now as well.
I'v been spending alot more time with him on his own going back to basics on training with his aggression showing its face again lately and in the last week his response to just me and him has been great.

Re: Trickster
That's actually one of the ways we used to train dogs to walk nicely off lead! They didn't know they were off for a while & they just seemed to get used to it.
Well done, it's great when you start to see the training pay off!
