Mini Bull Terriers Qs
I really really love the mini Bull Terriers, wondering how common they are ? (only seen the full size ones )
And why would a Blue be undesirable ? Whereas a Blue staffy is allowed ?

Not a clue! Is it a real breed or a cross, just out of interest?

Re: Mini Bull Terriers Qs
They are a recognised breed. But super rare over here. I saw one litter advertised once but they were extremely expensive. I'm not sure why blue is undesirable, but its maybe to do with crossbreeding, the same way we get black/tan Staffords.

Re: Mini Bull Terriers Qs
The miniature by is a recognised breed, maximum height 14" (although many are taller than that). They're not rare, but they are uncommon. If you go to shows you'll see more minis than standards!
As far as I'm aware there are no blues in bts or minis, the only ones I've seen even close to blue are actually a dark Smokey grey & not the blue colour you'll see in staffs.

P.S. if you see one for sale for less than £800 don't buy it. They have several health problems in the breed & the parents have to be tested for genetic illnesses, plus the pups have to be tested for eye problems before they leave for their new homes, so extra cost for the breeders.

Re: Mini Bull Terriers Qs
This is Ch. Warbonnet Jon Bon...
This little lad is a fantastic example of a mini bull, BUT. He has PLL, which means that he is likely to go blind at some point in his life. Before they had a dna test for PLL he was used extensively at stud. As soon as they found out, though, he was retired.

Re: Mini Bull Terriers Qs
So sad. I used to be frightened of English Bull Terriers as the only time i used to see them they were hanging off of trees etc with people who seemed to want others to believe it could be them next. Since then i've met a number of them and they were wonderful dogs and sometimes mistreated. One dog had been locked in a shed and so had that classic EBT spinning in circles problem. He was a lovely gentle soul and would walk without a peep from him but as soon as you stopped he'd spin again.
