Name:Ava
Age: 5 months
Breed: Staffie x
Can I live with Children: Only tested with older children
Can I live with cats: Yes, but only if they are used to dogs and dont run.
Can I live with other dogs:Yes
Fostered In: South Wales
Other Information
Ava the 5 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier x came into our care from the vets as she had suffered a badly broken leg. She underwent surgery to try to fix the brakes but sadly this was unsuccessful and the leg had to be amputated. Ava may have lost a leg but she doesn’t know this and it does not hinder her movement in anyway.
She is now in foster in South Wales and is happily living with other dogs and cats. Ava is fine with cats as long as they are not frightened and run, if they do she will chase them. She is also living with an older child but has not been tested with younger children. We would recommend unless a very experienced Bull breed home that she should only be rehomed with older children
Ava is happy to sleep in her crate overnight and sleeps straight through.
Ava is looking for a home with someone home most of the time. She could not be left for more than a couple of hours at a time as she is still too young. . She is a very sociable girl and loves spending time with her humans and a good old cuddle
Any new home will have to monitor her diet and make sure that she stays at a good weight as to not put stress on her other legs.
She is happy to play with the other dogs in the home and understands boundaries. We ask all new puppy homes to take there puppy to socialisation lessons to help them continue with her training. She will also need plenty of exercise to help her strengthen her muscles
Ava is fully vaccinated , microchipped and neutered. She is being fostered in South Wales and any potential home will need to visit her in her foster home.
