(sorry to dragon, this is nothing personal on you! you just brought this site to my attention)
it is another gumtree type site, and i don't think anyone who wants a decent dog or wants to sell a dog would go there!
this is one example that is on the home page.
well this is a picture i would use to sell a dog, how sweet and loveable it look!!
it comes with a quote saying its is being trained for personal protection. this fella needs shot!!

in my opinion if you need a dog for personal protection you're doing something wrong that you need to be protected from other people! noone decent would need an aggressive dog unless its a business or house or something with properly trained guard dogs with handlers!

Yes, very responsible!
They seem to think everything's good because there are 18 champions in the pedigree.

Personal protection dogs are big business nowadays - a well trained dog will go for up to £3000!

I don't get that personal protection dog stuff. Most dogs will alert you to intruders or whatever. Anyway, you're right, all those sites are crap. I mean, I got Loki from one of them, so I'm happy in that sense, but they're places where all these dogs and puppies get sold to make a bit of money because their owners are irresponsible or money-hungry idiots.

Agree agree agree, think we all had a small lesson today or further education on what we already sort of knew!! personal protection my eye, if you you that then there is something dodgy going on and what are we in the dark ages? am sure we have security and panic buttons these days!! and yes as much as tyke is a soft bugger, if he hears a noise that he not use to he alerts us so that makes me feel safe especially with having Ryan (we did not get him for protection)

Re: k9puppy NOT accepted here>;(
I'd never even heard of the site until the post the other day. Pictures like that terrify me. There is only one type of person who would want that dog, and that's someone wanting to cause trouble.
My uncle had guard dogs back when I was a child but he owned a bar in a rough area, at a rough time for this N. Ireland. But they weren't like this . They were more of a deterrent than a "personal protection" dog.
Scary stuff.

not a very good advert but i dont think you can tar the whole site with the same brush there are acctully some good breeders that will advertise on the site .its not the best but also by a far mark the worst.
but would total agree if you needed a trained guard/attack dog thats not the place you should be looking.

What angers me with sites that will advertise things like that is they obviously have no regard too the dogs, yes it really doesn,t help our beautiful breed with the unjust reputation they are getting, and anyone who knows anything at al about staffords know they don,t really make good guard dogs as they are so people friendly as a general rule, i think alot of us have heard of a guard dog, whos job was too protect the property, but this new fad of personal protection dogs is so scary, they are trained too be able too protect and taught too have an attack command...!!! who in their right mind would want too put their dog in the line of someone with a knife who could harm them, i know i would try anything too protect my dogs if i was threatened!!
And the sad thing is if these dogs attack a person and are deemed aggressive they will probably be seized an destroyed as the law states you can not use a dog as a weapon
irresponsible people make me sick
