Dog blue brindle

Post by debs0109 Fri Jan 18 2013, 12:05

Hi, is blue brindle a recognised colour for a staffy or is it more likely to be a staffy cross?

Both blue and brindle are recognised colours for the breed so not necessarily a staffy cross.

As blue is a dilute of black, blue brindle is a recognised colour. Big Grin

Colour does not indicate the purity of breed.

It does with Black & Tan! Big Grin All black & tan staffords have had a different breed added in their past as it doesn't appear naturally in staffs.

Yes , we were wondering if she had something else in her, but at the end of the day, she is a member of the family so it doesn`t really matter. We love her to bits Big Grin

Blues and Blacks will have a small amount of brindle somewhere in the coat. You won't set any solid blacks - there will always be some brindle no matter how small and it;s the same with the blues.

She is lovely, her face is beautiful. I have noticed with some blues that they are a bit bigger. My Lily is KC reg Stafford yet she is a bit bigger than breed standard. Big Grin
