A true love story

As the elderly man lay dying in his bed. While suffering terrible pain from his impending death, he suddenly got a smell of his favourite scones being baked from downstairs.
He put the last of his strength into getting out of bed and fighting his way downstairs, the closer he got to the kitchen the more determined he became that even if it killed him he was having a scone.
Had it not been for the constant pain he would of thought he was already in heaven because lay out before him was his wildest fantasy,on every side and table were his beloved scones.
He managed to muster the last of his strength before he died and glory to god his cold old hand reached above the table inches away from his scone.
WHACK went the wooden spoon right across his knuckles, there was his elderly wife above him waving the wooden spoon at him, she said " leave them alone they are for the funeral"
