Andys day at hosptial
Andy spent the day on Thursday down at Oxford Nuffield Teaching Hospital to have all his pre op test for his knee operation. He was to have the partial knee replacement op but the egg heads have now decided to not go for this option.
They will instead length the ITB (Iliotibial band) and do some other work on realigning the muscles in his leg.
He will be in on Wednesday 6th Feb and we will need to be down there for about 7AM. Thankfully Andys Mum has offered to look after Rocky for that day and again when I go back down there to pick him up after the operation. Dont know how Rocky will react when he sees Andy after the op, just hope he doesn't jump up too much.
He should only be in for a couple of days, just as Steve's Dads was.

Re: Andys day at hosptial
Hope everything goes well. How come he has had problems with his knees? Any idea what has started it?

Re: Andys day at hosptial
Andy was born with a dislocated right hip that wasn't diagnosed until later in life. He sadly grew up with one leg longer than the other which has caused many problems along with the knee.
He has already had lots of painful operations on his legs including having bone taken out of the other leg to even them up. He has a long pin in his right leg too and a permanently broken bone which cannot be fixed.
I hope this operation can relieve some of the pain in his in.

Re: Andys day at hosptial
Hope it does. I have had pain in my knees for a bit through floor fitting but nothing on the scale of Andy. So even the small dose I've had is enough to sympathise and hope it helps massively for him. Not pleasent fr me so must be a nightmare for him
