Hiya everyone
Hiya guys,
My name is Phil, and me and my family are getting our first Staffy who is a rescue dog tomorrow.
I have had dogs all my life but she will be our first Staff.
She is painfully thin and a very gentle natured dog. The home seem to think she is between 2 and 3 yrs.
Any advice on diet to get her built back up would be appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
Regards
Phil

Re: Hiya everyone
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
If you are feeding dry kibble choose one with a high protein content to get her built up again, any from the list below should be fine, Rocky would recommend the Barking Heads, that's what he has:

Re: Hiya everyone
Hi! Janey is totally right, in no time she will be built up and looking fantastic!
A decent quality dry food goes along way. I have a great butcher in my town that makes a great mince for dogs which my boy loves. Pop into your local butcher and see if he does anything similar.
I always have a lot of fresh veg from my work. Boiled/mashed potatoes are great to bulk up a meal without overloading on calories. I know personally I feel better with a full belly!
I always put a tablespoon of olive oil in with Logans food. It's great for many different things, just like it's great in our own diets. It will help her put on a few pounds and it makes boring dry food taste great!
