New friend

Bacchus made a new friend on our afternoon walk yesterday. Comet, an 18 month English pointer, ran him ragged, latched on to his ears ( without hurting him), tipped him onto his back numerous times, ran him into the ground and generally exhausted both of them. They played for about 30 mins. It was great to see him get a taste of his own medicine and he pretty much slept from 5.30pm until 7 this morning except for food and toilet breaks. Got peace to watch t.v. for a change.
Could do with meeting him every day.

How lovely to hear that Bacchus has found a playmate. They are so hard to find these days. I hope you and Bacchus meet Comet often!

Ohh that is great Steff has made many rough n tumble mates at the dog park.. I love how sleepy she gets afterwards

He has lots of playmates but very few are boisterous enough to tire him out

That's the thing isn't it, so far I've only met another dog that matches up, and that's another Staff, and I don't meet up with that one nearly often enough!

It's great to have playmates, sadly Rocky lost one of his a few days ago, a young spaniel bitch, she was lovely. PTS on Saturday morning.

Oh poor little spaniel. Rocky will miss her I'm sure (not to mention her owners).

I don't want to pry so don't answer if you don't want to, but how how old was this spaniel and what happened?

The spaniel was about two years old, she has recently had major surgery on a leg and I thought she was healing well. I haven't seen my friend for a while to ask any questions but will hopefully hear more soon.
