Re: small cuts
I would have to agree. I chopped the top of my thumb off about 6 years ago and got it stitched back on and that didn't bother me as much as when you bite your nails no short in the corners on your fingers.....next day owwwww

Re: small cuts
Little ones do hurt more! I decided to put my middle finger in the hedge trimmers last summer which chopped straight through the finger and nail! It looked Ming but didn't really hurt! But when you pull that little bit of skin of from above your nail it's well sore everytime you put your hand in your pocket!!

Paper cuts hurts the worst because the chemicals in the paper react with the chemicals in your body.

My uncle is a car mechanic, one day he was working under a car,and the car jack broke, and slammed down onto his hand, chopping off his little finger on his right hand.Apprently it did sting a little....
He did pick it up (how he thought to ill never know) went to the hospital, calmly said he needed to see a nurse, the receptionist nearly had a fit. They couldnt save his finger either

Re: small cuts
Just found this, gee's I'm bored today lol............
Paper cuts can be surprisingly painful as they can stimulate a large number of skin surface pain receptors (nociceptors) in a very small area of the skin. Because the shallow cut does not bleed very much, the pain receptors are left open to the air, ensuring continued pain. This is exacerbated by irritation caused by the fibers in the paper itself, which may be coated in chemicals such as bleach. Additionally, most paper cuts occur in the fingers, which have a greater concentration of sensory receptors than the rest of the body.
