Puppy kibble
Thoughts on James Wellbeloved and Wainwrights puppy complete please. Am currently feeding Orijen Puppy but notice these other 2 work out much cheaper per kilo.

Re: Puppy kibble
I have heard good reports on Wainwrights on the forum. I'm sure there is a link somewhere . I'm thinking of trying it witht the girls as they are bored with their Pero SBT.

Tommy had the wainwrights up to 6 months before our change over to fish4dogs , at 8 months we are back on Wainwrights and he is on adult now

Re: Puppy kibble
i suppose its whatever the dog likes. I mean you could change the dry food every time you run out and try them all. Just the healthy ones though

Re: Puppy kibble
While it makes sense to economize I don't want to compromise on quality at this crucial stage in his development. But if you guys' dogs are thriving on any of these I'll give them a try.

Re: Puppy kibble
Waimwrights & wellbeloved are both pretty good.
Pero adult is ok, but the puppy food's first ingredient isn't meat/fish, so I wouldn't use it.

Re: Puppy kibble
Orijen does work out more expensive than James Wellbeloved & Wainwrights but its a much better quality food in terms of ingredients. If your pups doing well on it, personally, i'd keep him on it.
I've tried an endless amount of food on Zeus (wainwrights, applaws, fish4dogs, wafcol) and none of them sit right with him. If I found one that he was good on, i'd stick with it regardless of the extra 10 odd quid it might cost per bag.

Re: Puppy kibble
Hi Rodger,
It does work out cheaper by the kilo to feed JWB or wainwrights, however you do have to feed more of them. It probably works out about £8 a month more roughly to feed the orijen for one dog. Orijen is better! Wish I could afford it for 4 dogs! Up to you but if you go with JWB or Wainwrights I would go with a meat and veg rather than a meat and rice variety xx
