EBTs - what do I need to know?
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo,
I have Madam Constance Eeebz Gruffle on foster at mine from tomorrow.
Spent half the day at the rescue with her today getting to know her and vice versa.
Anything special I need to know about EBTs vs SBTs?

They are thick, and even more stubborn than Staffs. However, the bitches especially can be very sensitive.

They love cuddles. Also, they seem to be very orally fixated. They have big thick skulls and know exactly how to use them to their advantage - you will get a fat lip if you're not careful!

Oh, and they can't reach their bits and bobs to scratch, so be prepared for the Bully Scoot! They crouch down and bob their heads about as they rub certain areas against your lovely carpets.

I chose brown rugs for a reason.

Good choice!
They also love belly rubs. Dempsey will kick your hand into position if he thinks you aren't doing it properly!

Basically, they are very stupid, big clowns! Most are very affectionate but they can be subject to fixations/OCD, so take care!

Hehe.
OOH OOH OOH! Their howl is freakishly weird. It sounds like a power drill.

Re: EBTs - what do I need to know?
Spent the day with her today, getting her used to the car and teaching her to sit and give paw. Lol.
I've just picked up a very short consultancy contract in London so won't be able to take her home until Wednesday night now.

Hmmm...
She's up to something. >
She either lies on her doggy bed and watches me or follows me around the house, half a pace behind.
Seems to love going upstairs but isn't impressed at the loo flushing.

Awww, I'm sure she's made herself right at home! Don't worry - you'll be tearing your hair out soon enough, if she doesn't do it for you.

She's been licking my hand just now. Think she forgot she's supposed to be playing the shy card.
Almost got a tail wag, too, but she managed to control that just in time.

Re: EBTs - what do I need to know?
My mate had a boy and he ate everything in sight! The Vet had to open him up and there was a little toy car amongst other household items in his tummy

Re: EBTs - what do I need to know?
Hmm.
If she eats my bookcase, rug or sofa, I won't be too impressed.
Not a lot else in here.
Do people have problems fitting collars to EBTs?
I've tried two and they both feel like they might slip off her head - the neck to skull ratio isn't very big.

Yes, yes and YES!!!!
Try a half-check collar. Those are the only ones that don't slip off of Dempsey's fat neck.
