Re: Chews
pigs ears are a bit of a no no as they can just break off and cause obstructions / choking
Stag bars are a good safe bet which you already have

Re: Chews
Just gave marley a nylabone, it's brown. My sister had spare one and it was not in a package so I'm not sure which one exActly it is. I will go and get her the right one tomorrow at the pet shop. She has been going at it for Bout 30 mins now. Is there a specific nylabone recommended by anyone?
This looks like what I just gave her. http://www.nylabone.com/product-finder/my-pet-is/dog-puppy/puppy-chew-2-pack.htm
Is she supposed to eat small bits off it?

I cook sweet potato then mash it up with a tablespoon of peanut butter and stuff his kong with this. Sometimes I will add some of his kibble ration or dried liver to the mix.
He also likes a smear of peanut butter on the ends of his Stag Bar but I seem to recall you have trouble getting these in Bermuda.
Both of these things encouraged him to chew these when he was smaller.

When Rocky was a bit younger my Hubby just got some old rags/bits of cloth material and tied knots in it along a length, Rocky loved this as a tug toy and so cheap too.

Re: Chews
Just got a bully stick and she is going to town on it. She seems to love it. I also got a 3 pack of nylabone a for puppy, one says edible, one looks like a piece of white plastic.
My mom left for business in the US today and according to pet smart, they have stag bars, moose, elk and deer. She will pick 2 up for me and I should have them Saturday. The chews seem to have curbed the nipping a bit as well.

Glad to hear the bully stick is going down well!
to be honest, puppies will chew ANYTHING (just look at my poor sofas) so anything that you can find that distracts them from the furnishings is good, you just have to find what keeps them occupied for 5 minutes or more. I find that a semi-squashed empty soft drinks bottle works well.

Re: Chews
Charlie also loves the sock thing we made him, took some of the childrens old socks and stuffed them tight into another sock then tied a knot to keep them all in.
