very good, they look like they enjoy it. I don't think i would like Cassie doing it though, can't have woman pulling her own weight in our house, the oh would want Cassie to leave because she would make her look bad

Wow thats an impressive pound per pound ratio, He looks real good in the vids
hopefully get mine doing some weight pull in the future too. Have got him used to dragging things behind him but not tried any real weight so far yet as I need to get a proper harness.

Thank you, his best pull was in Co. Donegal, this isn't a sales pitch but we do make WP harnesses as well.

Ill be picking your brains in the future for sure, my boy is just 16 months old and if he takes after similar crosses he has a hight spurt and a year of muscling up yet. My girl is same cross and almost as big but only 8 months old so thinking she'll be good at it too. Both love to pull and have a great traction style to get moving. You think 2 to 2 and half a good age to get into it seriouse?Bullseye! wrote:Sure no worries.... like I said, I joined this forum to talk Staffy

That's a great age to start, it's never a good idea to start at any age less than 12 months, however getting them use to noise and a harness you can start from as young as six months, but no weight whatsoever as their bones ect are still developing, just enough to create a slight resistance, when your girl is 12 months of age you can start adding more weight, but remember not too much at once, gradually build her up, its about mental strength too...
Empty sled (week 1)
Sled + 5lbs (week 2)
and so on depending on how well the dog is doing, eventually she will dig in and put her nose down to move the load... and remember lots of fussing and fluffing afterwards plus a good massage, it's just another game.. oh and never use lures or toys, it's dangerous...
Now I've worn all the letters off the keyboard lol
