AARGGGHH! Dave, you're normally so SENSIBLE! Wink

I don't know if you can still do it now with more modern keyboards, but AFTER it has been unplugged, it used to be possible to carefully lever up the sticking key and clean out the gunge that's making it stick.

Kylie, you're obviously on your own here (apart from my SENSIBLE advice). Our lovely menfolk are evidently are currently away into their fantasy lands!

Have you tried letting Steff dribble on the other keys so they are all equally sticky then typing like me with the heavy duty typing finger.
How was that?

configure your laptop lid to not power down or sleep on closing , stick it on top of a desk , buy an external monitor and keyboard, no more typing problems and you get yourself a new desktop PC in the process , good idea yes or no Big Grin

Try taking the key off and either letting it dry out or clean with a q-tip. If thats not possible spray some air under it.

Good idea Dave, although at the moment space is a problem, I've just moved a 4 bedroom house full of crp into my parents much smaller house..

I have tried cleaning it with a q-tip but it is a small keypad and it dosen't fit in to where it need to go.. I will try air thinking take the laptop to the servo and use a tyre air compressor..

Actually sitting here looking at where I could put it, and you gave me an idea, I can configure the screen to not power down or sleep, then connect laptop to the 80cm LCD TV, get a wireless keyboard and mouse Big Grin

Flicking the key off and wiping with a cotton bud & some alcohol normally works. Don't waste any percentage. I prefare to drink a bottle of vodka then lick the keyboard Big Grin
