There you are, it happened at last!
Not much you can do about it, just give her lots of gentle cuddles and keep the suitors well away!

Not too much you can do really, plenty of cuddles and lots of love, walks on the lead of course and a nice comfy bed.

More like keeping her away from other dogs, you'd be surprised at how devious bitches can be when in season. So make sure you know where she is all the time. Also dont be caught unawares when the bleed has finished for many bitches this is the high point.

Re: Penny first season
The first 10 days aren't too bad (apart from the bleeding - get some hygiene pants for during the day!) - dogs will be interested in her scent, but she won't want their attentions. The 2nd 10 days or so are when you really need to be vigilant. Not only will the dogs be ultra interested, she will be a complete tart!
For the 2nd half of her season keep her on a lead at all times & only walk her at quiet times, and as far away from other dogs as possible. You could also carry a pet corrector spray just in case!

So how's the little girl coping with it , felt so sorry for Tilly in her first season as she just looked poorly and sulking but she got over it with lots of cuddles and a few special treats off Mummy and Daddy

Re: Penny first season
She was a bit all over the place the first few days. But seems to have settled a bit now. She just wants to be cuddled up to me all the time is so cute lol. I'm just getting her out early in the morning and later at night to avoid other dogs. Cause I walk her last week at mid day and we were followed my a little jrt the whole walk
