Ow :(
Took Loki for a walk and let him have a run around on the long line. I should've known it'd end badly, there were omens. First, I tripped over his stupid constantly-sniffing head, but this happens regularly because he likes to shove his nose where my foot is going to be. Then when he was running, I lost grip of the long line and he ran off with it. I got it back easy enough. But these were just warnings of what was to come.
Maybe it was a combination of his speed (hadn't had a good run around in almost a week or so), the icy, frozen grass and the numbness of my hands. Anyway, he went darting off and for some reason when the line went tight, I wasn't expecting it and I went flying forwards right into the grass, head-first. This would be funny and no big deal, but the ground was rock-solid and my hands were too busy holding onto his lead to protect my face. He didn't even have the decency to look guilty or come back and see if I was OK but he was miles away so I think he didn't see me. I've never expected sympathy of guilt from him though, he never does . Then we got back home and he didn't even do his usual sitting next to me for affection. Ohhhh no, he decided to jump around like a lunatic on the couch instead just to annoy me. Think I jinxed myself by being proud of him for leaving the Christmas tree alone.
It's OK, you can laugh, you all love a good "I fell flat on my face" story
