Puppy walk times Empty Puppy walk times

So when we move on the weekend, we will be in walking distance to Dylan's school.. Today we did a test walk from the house to school and it takes almost 30mins. Steff is 5 months in 5 days time.. I know the 5mins per month rule and understand how important it is and what damage longer walks can cause to a pup.. But would 8mins extra twice a day be ok, if we stop at a the park that is about halfway for a rest?? Or is it a bit much?

I can't see it making a huge difference, especially if you let her have a bit of a rest in-between. But I'm not sure, let's wait until the experienced people come online Big Grin

The guide exists to make sure the neuromusclar system has a chance to devolp in sync with their weight. They tend be be heavier than their system can support and excess or overly intensive exercise can cause harm to joints. The distance and time you are talking about isn't an issue in my opinion.

Around 10 months I believe but maybe someone else can back me up , however you still need to avoid more strenuous activities like cycling , running , jogging etc until about 18 months
