Why is it....
.....that, even though Maggie isn't the biggest dog in the world, she still seems to take up a massive amount of space and suddenly turns deaf when asked to move?! I'm currently laying on a three seater sofa with half my body hanging over the edge because Maggie is laying on majority of the sofa completely ignoring my pleas of budge up And its not just the sofa I have a double bed all to myself while the oh is away and I still wake up in the night on the edge of the mattress with hardly any duvet because Maggie has nicked it all Anybody else have this problem with taking up all the room and suddenly turning deaf in the process.

Re: Why is it....
Cassie is not allowed to get too comfortable just in case of botty burps, plus she rarely wants to get on the couch her crate has single quilt and 2 old hospital blankets so it's toasty warm

Re: Why is it....
Yeah sounds very familiar to me And I dread to think what it will be like when she is full grown.. She is only 4mnths and already takes most of the lounge and a queen sized bed

Re: Why is it....
Miley is much the same she will nick the couch and not move. She usually lays in between us on the couch but she can stretch out and take extra room us. As for the bed we can't have her on there as she takes up too much room and We can't move

Re: Why is it....
When I first got Bis she thought she had to be not only on the sofa, but on my lap at all times! She's now realised that she can just sit next to me and will scooch if I tell her to.. and then she does a funny little wiggle up the sofa lol. Although she likes to lie between me and my housemate.. head on one person and bum on the other.. just to make sure that she's getting enough love

Re: Why is it....
I was wondering the same last night. The tv in the front room is broken so I have to go up to bed to watch anything. (maybe I wont fix it ) Took Charlie and Star up with me and got left with about a square foot of duvet and a the tiny bit at the top of the bed with the pillows. Good job I love them!

Re: Why is it....
Foster dog liked to stretch out on the sofa and make herself at home until I got a crate and put a quilt in it - she's in there now - not much chance of coming out.
At bed time, though, she wraps herself around my head, like a fur-lined turban.

Lol same here and just me and the dogs in it yet i wake up with only 1cm between me and the edge and next to nothing covering me lil buggers. If i yank at the covers it just drags em closer and me nearer to the edge...

Re: Why is it....
I think it's a girl thing and dominance , my 2 love Dadyy so much they want to sleep on top of him , not beside or below , on top , I have woken up a few times this week as Tommy has trodden on my stomach whilst lining himself up to sit on my face

Re: Why is it....
Mine always ends up laying sideways across the bed. He gets hot under the quilt after which he'll flop out at the bottom of the bed for a while before headbutting his way back in when he cools off. The worst is when he's on his side with legs towards me and stretches and you get eight claws stabbing into you

I know this one only too well, despite us having 3 different dog beds in our room, Polly and Charlie get on the bed and snuggle between us and somehow in the night they take over, Hubby is really lucky he will sleep though anything and can repossess the duvet and still be asleep, I wake up freezing and even if I push my feet under one of them they don't move, I have lost count of how many times I have finished my sleep on the sofa

Re: Why is it....
Kenny sometimes share his double bed with us I love how he lays on his back, all relaxed as we hover on the edge, then nice and early, as we finally get off to sleep, he licks my face as if to say "mammy! It's Playtime"
