Baloo and his weight
Hello,
I would like to ask you about Baloo's weight. He is 3 months old right now and weights 10kilos. He gains nearly 1kilo per week (5weeks in row). He doesn't look fat and even the vet told us today that he seems quite good.
Do you think that is ok? What's your opinion? Could you estimate how big he will be in adulthood?
Thank you very much

Re: Baloo and his weight
I wouldnt know what weight a staffie pub should be at 3 months old. But what I can say is when we picked Pixee up from the Blue Cross she was thin at 1 year old and weighted 10kg if I remember correct. She is now 18 something kg and a good weight. But all Staffies have different heights, muscle mass and that makes a different. Sorry I cant be of much help.

Re: Baloo and his weight
We got miley in April she was 15 kilos she now weighs 23 kilos its just due to regular feeding etc. If he gains a kilo per week then I would say its normal its only just over 2 pounds. His weight will ease up when he is older

Try not to get too hung up on the whole weight issue, so long as he is healthy and happy and well exercised he should be just fine.

He sounds just fine for me, but I wouldn't let him keep putting on that much weight on every week, because he'll end up overweight, just my personal opinion.

At that age they put on a lot of weight & it's pretty continuous!
As long as he looks good & he's lively & bright I wouldn't worry about it!
