That bought yr furkids from a breeder keep in touch with them ? Like send regular updates, photos, ask advise etc ?

The breeder I got Diesel from is lovely, we are in regular contact, pictures, texts, emails, Facebook... I get to see How Diesels mum is too which is great.

Spoke to Tanks breeder today, she was so pleased to get the pics I sent of him, but she said I'm the only one out of all 7 that have kept in contact.

I'm shocked ! Do ppl not care ? I feel it's important to keep in touch with ur dogs roots if u can...and just out of courtesy.

As Miley was a rescue girl we dont know about her background but we do send them pics and how she is progressing

Yeah, i was something they specifically asked me to do. I can contact him anytime as well, we usually have a chat once a week. I also keep in touch with one of his siblings owners too and every now and then we take them on walks together.
The guy I got marley from has been sending me pics of his staffy family tree after I asked him about his heritage. hes been great digging up loads of info and pics for me, gone as far back as great great great grandad so far.

I'm friends with Harv's breeder on FB and i regularly talk to her and send her photos

I did keep in contact with Dempsey's breeder for about a year, but then we kinda lost touch.

yes, i keep in touch, but tbh, i dont think they care. Although they were very interest when we were showing him and when he was going to stud, but since the phpv result, their not interested

Sorry newbie question, whats a phpv test/result? I'm guessing at checking for genetic problems with eyes.

I didn't with Lily's breeder, sent him a text the evening I got her to say she was ok and never got a reply. Kept in touch with Lola's breeder and her brothers owner is friends with me on fb

yup , I have regular contact with Andy and Linzey (Tommy's breeders) also all the offspring through fb , met up with Tommy's sister in October on a big walk and get to see how all the boys and girls are growing up. Tilly's "breeder" replied to a mail I sent her after 1 year of getting Tilly , little catch up and just happened to mention she was having another llitter soon

I didn't get either of my girls from breeders but i sent txts to who we got Inca of but after the 3rd tx she just replied back with 'no need for reg updates thanks' !!!! ...

The people who we got Sky from (who originally bought her from the mum & dad) stopped replying to txs that i sent as i began to point out that i didn't think she was a full staff !!!... I wasn't getting at her i just commented that she hasn't got the features to be a full staff an that was enough to stop her replying back which makes me think she knew what i was getting at !!!..

Yes, it's a genetic eye problem.

Unfortunately, some breeders are great until you present them with a genetic problem. Then they hide & run for cover.

Their loss you have 2 beauties and if they don't want to keep up to date then that's up to them

Yes, Kenny is PHPV affected. There's advice and info on this forum regarding health tests. The breeder told me they'd health tested!! But sadly, not all of them, which they failed to mention. I'd never heard of tests before as the last staffy we had was 16. It was only when we got Kenny and they asked us about showing and things that i've learned alot.

I agree Caryll, their also using the excuse, it's not in our lines lol

I keep in touch with garys breeder
we went school together and talk on facebook she constantly asks how he is and comments on his pictures

still in touch with busters breeder send photos all the time

I've been contact with penny's breeder I good few time plus see him at show all ways seem pleased to be kept updated .
