Asking for attention.
Debo's developed new behavior. When I'm on the sofa busy with computer etc, he will jump on the sofa. Sit next to me,look at me for few secs, then starts pawing my arm,I said "no" ,no eye contact,he will jump on me. At that stage,I will try to remove him from me,he will starts mouthing. It's all play I can tell that much. How to deal with it? At the moment I get him off the sofa, tell him to sit and he can't go back on the sofa. I try to send him back to his cage but he thought it was some sort of game. He of course he only does it to me

Oh and I do lots of thing with him. Walk him twice a day( morning and evening) ,feed him in the evening. I'm the first person who comes back in the evening.

Re: Asking for attention.
we have a similar thing with ours. When she wants attention while im on the computer she will push or nudge my left arm up and put her head under my arm. Ive tried to stop her by giving her a quick fuss and then pushung her gently away. She has calmed a bit but by pushing her she thinks im playing and starts to nibble my hand. Im still working on this and she hasnt completely stopped yet.

Re: Asking for attention.
You could get up and move to someplace where he can't bother yoy or tell him no and if he insists remove him from the room.
We have a small house and often I will simply give in and either play with her for 5-10 minutes and go back to what I was doing or let her lay in my lap if she is wanting to cuddle.
If the behaviour is occuring right around his normal walk time he could just be reminding you to take him

Re: Asking for attention.
Ledger does this but when he needs to go out for a walk I have taught him 'five minutes' (which also works when he tries to wake me up in the morning) where I will finish what I'm doing and he then gets his walk he soon learnt that if he kept pestering it took longer til he got what he wanted

Steff does similar to this too, when I'm on the lounge on the laptop she will come and lay across the keypad or she will get in my face and give kisses I usually put one leg up on the lounge and she then lays down with her head on my leg

They often have a little burst of energy after their walks. Try letting him settle or go to sleep and then doing what you need to do.

This sounds like attention seeking, Rocky does the same thing when my hubby is sat at the computer, he will jumping up at him and then sit and start to chat away.

Pixee is the same, but I say 5 mins to her too, and she has learned that means she will get fuss, but what I have done is, put another chair right by my side, so she can look out the office window, and she does that more now, as we have so many birds, squirrels in there, it keeps her attention

Re: Asking for attention.
My lot if they annoy me like that I ignore them. As soon as they stop I give them a fuss. I then build up the time btween them annoying me and getting a fuss. They soon they will get my attention only when they aren't annoying me and the soon settle and leave me alone

Re: Asking for attention.
Our Brody is like that too, he will come and bug me but I have to admit it is my own fault holding him and babying him so much. I stop what I am doing briefly for a spot of play time and get back to what I am doing. When he comes back I sharply shout back to bed.
