Sausage is my foster dog and a work-in-progress while she waits for a forever home.

Just thought I'd add some Sausage to the board.

I know which pound my foster originally came from before going to the rescue and, technically, it makes her a Lincolnshire Sausage - which are just the best.

That's a Setter, called Ralph, I think.
They met in the park yesterday - one of Ralph's handlers asked why Sausage was muzzled.
I explained she was still under rescue assessment but was doing well - next thing they were making eyes at each other.

She is gorgeous

She's a bit skinny, so is in the process of being fattened up, but isn't a greedy girl, so it's taking longer than I thought.

I don't think there's been a single phone call for her yet - so many homeless staffies now.
Would love to see her go to a home with a bigger garden and someone home all day long but, if that can't happen, well, I guess I'll have to permanently foster her then.

Ahhh looks like she enjoys her stag bar, great to see that.

Permanent foster sounds good to me, Sausage is gorgeous.

I'm just wary she'll be crated five hours at a time if I take her on permanently, Kathy.
I'd rather she went to a home with someone always around - just seems fairer.
But until then I'll give her the best time I can - she's really no bother at all in the house - just sleeps or rolls around on her back.

She loves her Stag bars - latest one has disappeared though.

Well Keith, a LOT of dogs have owners that have to go out during the day and they survive. Only you will know if Sausage could cope with that.

The downside of having an owner who is always around is that the dog gets separation anxiety, as I know to my cost - Kuch cries when I pop to the local shops for 5 minutes.
